Very few designers openly celebrate the musicians who inspire their design. So is not the case with John Varvatos and The Roots—Grammy Award winning band and the stars of Varvatos’ current Fall 2011 campaign.

With New York Fashion Week in full swing the celebrated menswear designer hosted a Fashion Night Out party at his Bowery street store location, that featured a performance from the crew—thus attracting a slew of celebrities including America’s Next Top Model’s Jay Alexander, Melanie Fiona, Miguel, Gossip Girls‘ Tika Sumpter, Corinne Bailey Rae and new R&B singer, Mateo.
