If you are like me—a retro make-up obsessed fanatic—you are loving the cat-eye that Beyonce is rocking in her new video “Countdown”. Yes King B, delivers a slew of references—Audrey Hepurn in Funny Face to 80’s Flashdance—it was the 1960’s Brigitte Bardot bombshell look that was the winner. Want to achieve this fierce  look? Here are the tools you need:

1. Matte Eyeshadow
For this look, you will want to stay away from glittery and shimmery eye shadow textures. Instead, look for matte shadows with pops of color like white, pink, blue or yellow! With Revlon Luxurious Color Matte Eye Shadow, matte colors no longer mean dull and flat. This is a really fun collection of colors has a suede-like application and matted finish. You can find this at your local drugstore.

2. Liquid Liner or Gel Base Liner
If you’re a newbie to liquid liners,  I recommend Sephora Long-Lasting Eye Liner in 01 Black (Sephora.com, $10) for easy application. If you want to have a little more fun and experiment  with a sleek cat eyes, try using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack (MAC, $15). Apply this with to the top and bottom eyelid with a thin eyeliner brush to work the dimension (pictured right).

3. Mascara
Finish off your look with a full body mascara that will give you the final touch of glam you need. I swear by Maybelline’s: Volum’ Express The Falsies Flare (Waterproof) in Black Drama (drugstore.com, $6.39). (pictured right)
