(New York, NY) Tamar Braxton was all smiles.com at the New York sneak peek of the second season of her and her family’s hit show “Braxton Family Values.” The singer-turned background singer-turned reality show star was just announced as a performer on this year’s Soul Train Awards .

The event held at the swanky Tribeca Grand Hotel brought out a slew of personalities including the Braxton family clan—Towanda, Trina, Traci, and mother Evelyn; veteran R&B singer Meli’sa Morgan, television and radio personality Egypt Sherrod, celeb wedding planner Diann Valentine, American Idol finalist Anwar Robinson, actress Keesha Sharp, and social maven Bevy Smith.  

When asked by a journalist if she would be performing her new solo material on the awards, she answered, “Unfortunately not, Vince [my husband] doesn’t think I’m ready.” But she did leak that she would be performing in the star-studded tribute to Gladys Knight, who will be honored at this year’s show.

NOTE: Eldest sister Toni, was noticeably missing from the festivities…of which caused a lot of speculation among the crowd—is she no longer involved witht the show? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
