EVENT: Sidney Portier Honored At UCLA Longevity Center’s ICON Awards
Published by Justin D Joseph on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:15 am.(Beverly Hills, CA) Academy Award winning actor, Sidney Portier was one of five persons honored at UCLA’s Longevity Center’s 2012 ICON Awards held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 6.
The acting legend, who has been in the entertainment business for over five decades, received the ICON Award for Artistic Excellence. Other recipients included Jane and Terry Semel (Visionary Leadership in Science and Medicine), and Shlomo Rechnitz and Steve Rechnitz (Visionary Leadership in Business).
The evening, hosted by comedienne Lisa Ann Walter, featured a performance from Natalie Cole, and presentations from Quincy Jones and Morgan Freeman.
The UCLA Longevity Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and extending productive and healthy lives through research and education.
