Sixty finalists were invited to New York to compete for the title and make their Broadway debuts on the Minskoff Theatre stage.
The event attracted a few stage notables, including TONY Award nominated actress Montego Glover, star of the hit show, Memphis.
The NHS Musical Theater Awards focus national attention on the importance of theater arts education and heighten the profile of communities and school districts around the United States that provide musical theater study in their curriculum.
