(New York, NY) Sheryl Lee Ralph was all smiles at the opening night gala of New York’s Musical Theatre Festival at Hudson Terrace. The veteran actress attended the event alongside award winning performer, Ben Vereen; and Corbin Bleu.

Best known for her portrayal of Deidra “Dee” Mitchell in the 90s sitcom, “Moesha,” began her career on the stage and was nominated in 1982 for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Deena Jones in the original production of Dreamgirls.

Now in it ninth season, the New York Musical Theatre Festival showcases a wide range of musicals and musical theatre pieces in an intimate setting for a relatively low cost ($25).
