Who better to spot a future Apollo legend, than an Apollo Legend? The legendary Gladys Knight has officially joined the judges’ panel of Centric’s new original talent competition series, APOLLO LIVE.

The reigning “Empress of Soul” will join current judges Doug E. Fresh and Michael Bivins, and provide guidance to contestants hoping to jump start a career in the entertainment industry.

For nearly eight decades, the Apollo Theater has served as a launch pad for a series of successful entertainers, including Knight and her former group The Pips. Executive producers Jamie Foxx, Marcus King, and Don Weiner have put a fresh spin on the classic “Amateur Night” variety show, with Tony Rock as the host.

APOLLO LIVE premieres November 25th on Centric.
