NEWS: ‘Great Debate’ With TJ Holmes & AL Sharpton to Air On Centric Aug. 5th

Moderated by BET News correspondent TJ Holmes, the debate featured Civil Rights Leader, Rev. Al Sharpton; Georgetown University Professor and acclaimed author, Michael Eric Dyson; President of Bennett College, Dr. Julianne Malveaux; and Minister and Republican party political analyst, Joe Watkins.
The commentators tackled a series of issues affecting the Black community including education, health care, unemployment, housing, gentrification, criminal justice, economics, small business development, 2012 elections, voting, the aftermath of Trayvon Martin’s murder, and the future of Black America.
Originally shown via online stream, the debate will be broadcast on-air Sunday, August 5 at 10A/9C.
