Beverly Johnson Beams Bright At The 14th Annual Women’s Image Network Awards

Beverly Johnson, the first black model to appear on the cover of Vogue, arrived in a sophisticated two-piece skirt suit, accented with pearls and peep-toe pumps. She also hopped on stage later in the evening to present filmmaker Timmothy Greenfield with the WIN Award for Best Documentary Film for his HBO production, About Face: Super Models Then and Now, starring Johnson.
The awards ceremony, held at the Paramount Theater on the Paramount Studios lot, honored the men and women who promote gender parity in the realm of entertainment. HBO’s original series Boardwalk Empire and Girls – both featuring episodes directed by women – and ABC’s Scandal were honored with nominations in their respective categories.
