Veteran emcees Doug E. Fresh (pictured above), Kurtis Blow, Big Daddy Kane, and Naughty By Nature are among the performers now scheduled to perform at the Soul Train Awards 2011 in honor of the late rapper, Heavy D.

Others scheduled to perform in the tribute include, Whodini, DJ Freddie F, Method Man and Q-Tip.

News of the tribute, comes just days after the music world was shocked by the death of Heavy D (born Dwight Myers), who passed away November 8th at his Beverly Hills home. He was 44 years old.

The Soul Train Awards 2011, hosted by comedian Cedric The Entertainer, airs November 27th at 9p/8c on Centric and BET.
