New Orleans native Luke James is garnering a serious buzz amongst music industry insiders. While many R&B singers rely on gimmicks and amazing producers to elevate questionable (read: non-existent) vocals, James doesn’t have to. Why? Because the boy can sing (sang that is)—and write.

While his name hasn’t reached household status just yet, he’s written music for the likes of  Chris Brown (“Crawl”), Justin Bieber (“That Should Be Me”), and Britney Spears (“Kill The Lights”). Not to mention his fit physique and model-mug even landed him features in Beyonce’s “Run The World” and Melanie Fiona’s “4am” videos. But, now he’s the star of the show.

James just released the video for “I Want You,” his debut single, off his upcoming debut album, due in 2012.
