Featured on the soundtrack of 50 Cent’s 2006 film, Get Rich or Die Tryin‘, “Best Friend,” was the third single released off the project, and was to be featured on Olivia’s sophomore album Behind Closed Doors—which was shelved.

Produced by Hi-Tek, the song included a sample of Valerie Simpson’s 1972 song “Silly Wasn’t I?” and included lyrical references to Biz Markie’s 1989 hip hop classic, “Just A Friend.” It reached number ten on the Billboard Rap chart, and became a top 40 hit on the Hot 100, R&B and pop charts.
