“Flash light, Red light, Neon light,” sang a relatively toned down George Clinton at the River to River Festival held at New York City’s Rockefeller Park. The funk legend took to the stage backed by his Parliament-Funkadelic crew to perform his greatest hits.
Started in 2002, the American Express sponsored event activates more than 25 indoor and outdoor locations in Lower Manhattan, that showcase music and dance performances, visual art displays, and films by renowned and breakout artists from New York City and beyond.
The 2012 River to River Festival kicked off June 17 and will end on July 15.
