Hard to believe 10 years have passed since Nelly was urging female club goers to “take off yo’ clothes.” The St. Louis bred rapper reached number one with The Neptunes produced 2002 song, “Hot In Herre,” the first single off his sophomore album, Nellyville.
“Hot in Herre” held down the top spot on the Billboard R&B, Hot 100, rap and pop charts, becoming one of his biggest hits to date. The song’s success helped his album sell over four million copies in the United States, and earned him the Grammy Award for Best Male Rap Solo Performance.
