Featured on the soundtrack of Spike Lee’s 1988 film, School Daze, “Alone Tonight” became a moderate hit on the Billboard R&B chart. Sang by Tisha Campbell—who starred in the film as lead Gamma Ray, Jane Toussaint—the song peaked at #83 on that chart, but it is a favorite among fans of the cinematic cult-classic.
