Kanye West and Jay-Z, aka The Throne, made a big impact at the BET Awards in July, winning awards for Best Group and Video of the Year. And in light of the nominations for this October’s Hip Hop Awards — revealed Wednesday night on 106 & Park — the duo aren’t ready to relinquish their kingdom quite yet.
Jay-Z and Kanye collectively stacked up an incredible 19 nominations. In the wake of their blockbuster album, Watch the Throne, featuring the hits “Otis” and “Paris,” they received five nods together as The Throne for Best Live Performer, CD of the Year, Best Club Banger, Impact Track and the People’s Champ Award Presented by Verizon.
