Angie Stone is gearing up for the release of her sixth studio album Rich Girl (in stores September 25), and Centric will capture the making of the project on a new installment of the music docu-series, As Written.  The 30 minute special will feature a candid interview with Stone as she shares the inspiration behind her first project in three years.

Known for her soulful brand of music, the Grammy Award nominated songstress returns rich in strength and spirit, as evident by the project’s lead single, “Do What U Gotta Do,” written by BET’s Sunday Best winner, Y’anna Crawley. “[The song gave] me the beginning of the new album and the resolve to make it into something beyond anything I had ever done before.”

As Written: Angie Stone premieres on Sunday, September 23 at 11P/10C.
