Just days after taking the stage at the iHeart Radio Festival and performing a surprise duet with Mary J. Blige, the purple realized that double the pleasure really is double the fun! Forty minutes into Prince‘s “Welcome 2 Chicago” show at the United Center, the fro-sporting singer introduced Chicago-born diva Jennifer Hudson to the stage for a soulful rendition of the classic song “Nothing Compares 2 U.”
Needing no introduction, Prince simply screamed, “Take ‘em to church!” What followed was a funky rendition of the Sinead O’Connor song that hit No. 1 and stayed there for four weeks in 1990. Get ready to go to church with Prince and J-Hud below.
