NEW VIDEO// Usher Struggles To Feel In “Numb”
Published by Danica Daniel on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 6:05 am.Multi-platinum selling and 7X Grammy Award-winning superstar Usher premiered a very personal video for his brand new single “Numb.”
Directed by Chris Applebaum and Grace Harry, the visual begins with footage of Usher onstage at the O2 World Arena in Berlin before he cut the show short. “He tried because he loves Berlin and he really wanted to give you guys a show, but he just couldn’t do it. Thanks for understanding,” an announcer says. Sadly the crowd doesn’t understand. Boos fill the venue as Usher hangs his head low. “I felt like a failure,” the R&B crooner says. “Hopeless. Paralyzed. Lonely.”
The hardships don’t end their for the R&B singer. Scenes of Usher sitting next to someone’s hospital bed fill the screen. The images are quite eery, especially since Usher recently mourned the death of his 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover, who was pulled from life support after a freak jet-skiing accident. “Numb” is the latest single from Usher’s critically-acclaimed seventh album Looking 4 Myself.
