Rising star Rochelle Jordan has just dropped her first official music video for the song “Shotgun” off her latest album P R E S S U R E. In the black and white directed by Sharon Jane D,  Jordan allows her ethereal voice center stage on the track, creating a soothing sound that is a shot through the heart.

The Toronto, Ontario native recently opened up about the inspirations behind her unique sound. “I go from anywhere from Samantha James, who is an underground, lounge-y/pop-ish singer who is absolutely crazy and not a lot of people know about her,” she told Singersroom. “I take elements from that and also from Aaliyah, Amerie, and even Paramore,” she says. “I take different elements and kind of mash them together. That kind of helps me develop my sound, but I can say for sure that Amerie was a huge influence in my sound. Kelis was also, and Aaliyah for sure.”
