WILL KELLY ROWLAND’S NEW SINGLE GET HER U.S. LOVE?
Published by Justin Joseph on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:45 am.Kelly Rowland taps into her inner diva (hence the big hair) as she releases her new single “Commander” written by Rico Love and produced by David Guetta. The tune which is 100% DANCE music, hit US i-Tunes this past Tuesday. The union of Guetta and Rowland seems to be kismet, and the perfect lane for Rowland to cruise. Unlike her former-Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams‘ pursuits at Dance music, Rowland’s voice seems to sit well in the pulsating beat; showcasing a vocal prowess that was seemingly overshadowed by the beast that is The Artist formerly known as Sasha Fierce. While it doesn’t match the majic of 2009’s summer staple ”When Love Takes Over” it will prove to be a club banger overseas—and hopefully here in the states.
QUESTION: The European music market is TEAM ROWLAND, but why is that success not matched in her native country? She has the talent and the looks…whats the disconnect?
