Marsha Ambrosius Enlists Cast of The Wire For New Video “Cold War”
Published by Justin Joseph on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10:54 am.Good Lawd, when did Marsha Ambrosius become so ride or die?! Judging by her latest video “Cold War,” it seems the Centric Selects star is willing to put it all on the line for her boo.
Joined by Michael K. Williams and Felicia “Snoop” Pearson of HBO’s The Wire, Ambrosius plays a woman who’s fiance (Williams) loses his job. The couple falls on tough times, and Marsha decides to get into the drug business with the help of a local dealer (Pearson) to makes ends meet. But of course, things go from bad to F-ed up when Detectives pay a visit to their home.
“This video really depicts how far you will go for someone you care about,” explains the singer. “I went to extreme measures to save my love and I clearly did some very illegal things.”
While the song will take some getting used to, Marsha is really acting in this one. She effortlessly makes a broke woman down on her luck look good—maybe it’s the Chanel or the perfect Tippi Shorter styled hair? Either way, the video is a good look.
“Cold War” is the first single off her upcoming sophomore album, Friends & Lovers.
