When twin brothers, Keven “Dino” and Solomon “Shazam” Conner, teamed up with their longtime friend Darryl “G.I.” Jackson to form H-Town, who would have known these three Texas bred boys would reach platinum status. Their first single, “Knockin the Boots”—off their debut disc, Fever For Da Flavor—was an instant hit, reaching #1 on the R&B charts and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. This sexually drenched tune, would help to define the R&B sound of the early to mid 90’s. While the group released a series of songs following, none matched the impact of this single.
Sadly this past January, marked nine years since lead singer Dino was fatally killed in a car accident. Here’s to his legacy living on through the music. Let the crybaby-ing begin.
