CONTEST// Converse, Journeys, and Rolling Stone Present the 3rd Annual “Get Out of the Garage” Music Contest

Converse and Journeys have teamed up to present the third annual “Get Out of the Garage“—a music contest for up-and-coming bands that does just what it says . One Grand Prize winner will win a spot to perform on the six city “Get Out Of The Garage” Music Tour—which kicks off at Rolling Stone’s space at SXSW in Austin, TX— an opportunity to
record at Converse Rubber Tracks Studio and $10K in equipment from Guitar Center. The tour will also stop in Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Washington, D.C. and New York City, NY.
A Winner will be selected by fan voting, which will be divided in two rounds of voting. In the first round, fans will have the opportunity to vote online for the top 100. Converse, Rolling Stone, Guitar Center and Journeys will choose the top ten. The second round of voting will allow fans to vote for one Grand Prize winner. The remaining nine finalists will receive gift certificates from Converse and Guitar Center.
The contest starts NOW and we encourage bands from ALL musical genres and styles to enter!
November 12, 2010: Deadline to submit songs
November 15, 2010 – December 15, 2010: Vote for the top 100 submission (by the public)
January 5-20, 2010: Vote for the top 10 grand prize winners
