LEADERS OF THE NEW SCHOOL REUNITE WITHOUT BUSTA RHYMES

Published by Justin Joseph on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11:16 am.

After 14 years apart, early 90’s Hip-Hop collective  Leaders Of The New School are all set for a reunion performance. But before you start blasting “What’s Next,” the reunion will not include the groups most popular member Busta Rhymes. Current members: Charlie Brown, Dinco D and Cut Monitor Milo, will take the stage at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY on December 23rd.

Rhymes’ absence from the performance comes as no surprise. Things have been tense between him, Brown and Dinco D—following their 1993 break up.

In an interview with AllHipHop back in 2006 Dinco said, “I heard it on a Clue mixtape where [Busta] called us a bunch of b***hes… He said some real foul s**t, saying my crew’s acting like a bunch of b***hes…and following conversations, he’s just been mad disrespectful to me.”
