ON CENTRIC SPOTLIGHT//STEVE HARVEY

While that sitcom, which aired for six seasons, was a seminal milestone in his career, it certainly wasn’t his first nor his last. The West Virginia born comedian—after years of doing stand-up—got his big break in 1993, hosting the weekly talent program “Showtime At The Apollo” (a gig he would hold down for seven years). But many would consider his defining moment to be 2000’s Spike Lee directed film, “The Kings of Comedy.” The movie, an uncut version of the live comedy tour starring D.L. Hughley, Cedric The Entertainer, and the late, great Bernie Mac; proved he was a comedic force to be reckon with.

Fast forward to 2010. Harvey is the host of his own nationally syndicated radio program, “The Steve Harvey Show,” is a best selling author (in 2009 he released the New York Times Bestseller, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man), the host of the classic game show Family Feud and now he, alongside his morning show crew, will star in THE STEVE HARVEY PROJECT premiering November 15th at 9pm est. only on Centric.
